Swansea are just a point away from the Coca-Cola Championship play-off places following a 3-1 victory over 10-man Doncaster at Liberty Stadium.

James Coppinger toe-poked Rovers into a surprise 11th-minute lead but a Jason Scotland penalty (28) after James O'Connor's foul and two goals from Jordi Gomez (71 and 90) saw the Swans home. Doncaster's Richie Wellens was dismissed for two bookings late on.

Rock-bottom Charlton took a point from a woeful goalless draw at fellow strugglers Barnsley, while Watford continued to climb away from the drop zone with a 2-0 win at Blackpool courtesy of goals by Mike Williamson (54) and Tamas Priskin (85).

Late strikes by Sean McAllister (80) and Leon Clarke (90) handed Sheffield Wednesday a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at Hillsborough.
