David Beckham believes that "no news may be good news" as he waits to hear if he will be remaining with AC Milan or returning to the Los Angeles Galaxy on March 9.
Negotiations between the two clubs continue as the Serie A club seek a solution which would allow them to keep hold of the England international when his loan spell expires in a fortnight.
However, Beckham knows it may go down to March 8 before a decision is made and said: "There is no news, nothing has changed. Things are still going on and sometimes no news may be good news."
He added: "We'll have to wait and see. These things take time sometimes and of course it's going to. It could go down to the last few days.
"I hope it gets sorted out quickly because I enjoy concentrating on my football and I've done that so far and so I'll continue doing that."
Beckham impressed again in Sunday's 1-0 win over Cagliari at the San Siro and has become a crucial component in the Rossoneri side since arriving in January.
And he admits leaving would be wrench after such a productive and enjoyable period in Italy.
"I'm happy in Milan and I've been happy since I arrived," he said.
"Everybody has been great and I enjoy playing at the San Siro and the whole club has made me feel so welcome.
"Everybody's been nice to me and I am enjoying my football and when I am enjoying my football, I am happy."
