Billy Davies has insisted he will not walk away as Nottingham Forest boss after reports suggested he was ready to resign.
Davies' men had lost five out of six games before their morale-boosting 1-0 victory at Reading on Saturday, but the Scot is adamant he has never considered leaving the club.
"It's absolute nonsense," he told the Guardian. "There are one or two things we need to change, but I'm here for the long haul."
Prior to the victory at the Madejski Stadium, Davies had defended himself against criticism from supporters.
He said: "I'm a public figure - I expect stick. I had flak at Preston when I took over and I certainly had flak at Derby when I first went there. I'm certainly not going to lose any sleep about getting flak at Forest.
"It won't change my way of thinking. I'm not being arrogant, and I can be arrogant at times, but not on this occasion. I don't give a damn what they think and what they say because I'm here to do the very best I can."
