Irvine wants away improvement

Preston manager Alan Irvine has urged his side to banish their travel sickness with victory at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

North End slumped to their ninth away defeat in the Coca-Cola Championship this season with a 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.

Irvine said: "We're away again at Palace on Saturday, and that would be a good place to start putting things right."

He added: "Before then we'll work hard in training to try to make sure we don't make the same mistakes again."
