Johnson fumes after late goal

Bristol City coach Alan Walsh revealed that manager Gary Johnson was furious with his players after the Robins conceded a goal three minutes from time to lose 1-0 at Birmingham.

Franck Queudrue powered home a header from Lee Bowyer's corner as the Robins lost their proud record of not having been beaten twice by the same team in the same season since their return to the Championship in 2007.

Johnson kept his players in the dressing room for 35 minutes after the game. He had to travel back to the West Country immediately and did not attend the post-match press conference at St Andrew's.

Walsh said: "I think it's fair to say the manager isn't very happy. It's partly because of the performance and partly because we switched off at a set-piece when we were so close to earning a point.

"If you take a point away from home against anyone in the Championship, you probably deserve it. We were three minutes away and we've been caught out.

"It's frustrating because it's something we work on all the time in training. It was somebody's job to pick up, it hasn't been done and it's cost us."
