Delighted Leyton Orient boss Geraint Williams saluted an "excellent" performance from his side after they won a tight game 1-0 against Stockport.

On-loan striker Simon Church slotted home the all-important winner for the visitors seven minutes after half-time to hand Williams' men a third straight victory.

Williams said: "That was another excellent performance from us. We showed the right attitude and we could have been further ahead by the time they had a spell of pressure right at the end.

"It has been a superb week for us. We had three crunch games and we've come away from them games with maximum points.

"Fantastic credit must go to all the players and staff."

Williams also hailed Church, who coolly netted his second goal in as many games from close range.

"That's what good strikers do," added the Orient boss. "We knew that if he did get a chance during the game he'd stick it away."
