Arsenal outclassed their non-league opponents Lincoln City in the FA Cup on Saturday evening, recording an emphatic 5-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium.

The visitors produced a spirited performance - particularly in the opening 45 minutes - but Arsenal’s class eventually told and, in the end, it turned out to be the one-sided affair that many had expected.

However, if you hadn’t watched any of the action and had instead relied solely on Chris Sutton’s co-commentary, you might have been left thinking that Lincoln were hard done by.

The BT Sport pundit found it extremely difficult to remain neutral throughout the 90 minutes - and this irritated many Arsenal supporters watching the match on TV.

Lincoln were not unlucky. They might have performed well given their squad and limited resources, but the Gunners thoroughly deserve their place in the FA Cup semi-finals.

In case you didn't know: Sutton managed Lincoln

In case you’re unaware, Sutton has a strong connection with Lincoln, hence why he was on co-commentary duty for this match.

The retired Premier League striker managed the club during the 2009-10 campaign and clearly still has a big soft spot for his former employers.

One Arsenal fan, @ArsenalTerje, was so bemused with Sutton’s co-commentary that he’s created a video of the 44-year-old’s ‘highlights’ from the match.

And it’s pure gold.

How Arsenal won 5-0

Theo Walcott broke the deadlock for Arsene Wenger’s side on the stroke of half-time before Olivier Giroud doubled the Gunners’ advantage shortly after the break.

A Luke Waterfall own goal made it 3-0 just before the hour-mark, then two goals in three minutes from Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey completed the rout.
