Real Madrid's training ground rondos can often produce at least a couple of embarrassing moments as some of the most expensive players in the world are made to look foolish in one of the easiest drills in the sport.

It is keep-ball in its simplest format. Those around the outside of the circle must try to avoid losing possession to the unfortunate men chasing in the middle.

But the players who try to intercept the ball often leave themselves open to be humiliated if they are too enthusiastic in their efforts to get back on the outside.

The latest man who has been left with a red face is Gareth Bale.

The Welsh forward, who is currently serving a suspension for being sent off against Las Palmas a few weeks ago, was caught by surprise when the ball started heading in his direction.

As you can see in the video below, Bale completely misjudges the pass and can only gasp as it creeps through his legs.

Unsurprisingly, his teammates needed no invitation to mock the former Tottenham star but Cristiano Ronaldo's reaction was undoubtedly the best.

Ronaldo could not have been in a better position to watch the nutmeg and while Bale was still trying to work out how he had been tricked so easily, the Portuguese forward gave him a little cheeky kick up the backside.

Bale is then grabbed by his teammate but still looks confused at what has just happened.

Don't worry Gareth, it happens to the best of us!

Ronaldo was a bit brave to grab hold of Bale, though, the last opponent who confronted him was pushed to the ground.

Tonight's match against Real Betis is the second and final game of Bale's suspension but he could return to face Athletic Bilbao next week.
