Reading defender Liam Rosenior will be out for a month with a broken hand.

The right-back was sent-off during the goalless draw with Crystal Palace last weekend but suffered the injury just minutes before he was dismissed.

Scans revealed he had broken two bones in his hand and he has had successful surgery which will prevent him from playing for at least four weeks.

However this week's international break is followed by a two-game suspension for Rosenior so he may only miss the Easter Monday trip to Blackpool.
