In case you haven’t seen it yet - where have you been?! - there was a brilliantly awkward moment between Jamie Carragher and Jamie Redknapp on Super Sunday following Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Burnley at Anfield.

Carragher was midway through making a point when Redknapp rudely interrupted him.

The footage has gone viral because of Carragher’s hilarious reaction. The former Liverpool defender looked completely flabbergasted that his co-pundit had just stopped him mid-sentence in order to make his own point.

Never has a man looked so p***ed off with his own colleague before.

“Do you not agree?” Redknapp turned and asked Carragher, clearly sensing he’d just annoyed his mate.

Carragher responded: “Yeah, you interrupted me!”

Redknapp then said: “You interrupted me first.”

It was so, so awkward. In fact, Ricky Gervais would have been proud if he’d scripted this for one of his sitcoms.

Carragher usually reacts to moments like this on Twitter - but interestingly, there’s been no comment from the retired Premier League defender so far.

An indication that he still feels annoyed with Redknapp?

In fairness, you couldn’t blame him if that’s the case.

One man who has spoken out about the incident, though, is Gary Neville.

The former Manchester United captain wasn’t going to miss this golden opportunity to have a cheeky pop at his Monday Night Football colleague.

After being asked for his take on the video, Neville responded with a typically amusing tweet.

He tweeted: “He was talking crap to be fair!!”

No response from Carragher to Neville, either...

Again, no word from Carragher, which is most unusual. It doesn’t usually take him long to respond to one of Neville’s digs.

Perhaps Sky have given him a little slap on the wrist for reacting in, let’s face it, a rather unprofessional manner.

Even if you are interrupted, you can’t react like that on live TV.

A quiet word off air would have sufficed in this instance.

But then again, Carragher is only human - and which of us can confidently say we wouldn’t have reacted in a similar way had Redknapp done the same thing to us?
