Back in January, the WWE announced that Kurt Angle would be headlining the Hall of Fame Class of 2017, and his 11-year absence from the company was officially over.

Angle had his last match in the WWE back in 2006, so his return was a long time coming and his induction into the Hall of Fame was a fitting moment for his comeback to be based around.

What else lies in store for The Olympic Hero in the WWE remains to be seen, but for now, fans can enjoy some of the key moments of his return so far, which has included reuniting with Triple H and Vince McMahon.

After this week's Monday Night RAW, WWE aired “Bring It To The Table” on the WWE Network, where they did a short interview with Angle, talking about why he left WWE 11 years ago and how he managed to clean himself up during his time away.

The former World Heavyweight champion also mentioned that he was not ready to retire and that while the upcoming Hall of Fame induction means more to him than anything else, he still wants to compete in the ring. Then came a really special moment where he came reunited with Vince McMahon for the first time in 11 years.

As you can see in the clip below, Angle described what happened during this meeting, saying the first thing they did was hug as it was like reuniting with a lost family member.

He said: "I didn't know what to expect, I thought he would want to punch me in the face the first time he saw me. But he was willing to say 'let's forget and move on'. When he saw me, he immediately hugged me. It was like a father welcoming his son back home and saying 'it's good to have you back home'."

This was filmed for an upcoming episode of WWE 24 and it will likely air on the network after WrestleMania 33 since they'll want to add footage from WrestleMania weekend into the documentary.

As for Angle after WrestleMania, there are rumors that WWE could be planning on using him as Mick Foley's replacement as RAW general manager, which would be a sight that many fans would love to see.
