Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies believes calm heads are needed if his side are to avoid relegation from the Championship.

Forest lie in the relegation zone, two points behind fellow strugglers Plymouth, and Davies knows the pressure is on his players with just six games remaining.

"This stage of the season is always like this, whether you are chasing promotion or fighting relegation," he told the Nottingham Evening Post.

He added: "It is crucial everyone stays calm, stays positive and stays behind these young players between now and the end of the season.

"If you can eliminate the errors, if we can get players back fit, I am very confident that we can get where we want to be."
