Watford striker Steve Kabba faces up to four weeks on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring injury while on loan at League One side Oldham.

The 28-year-old withdrew from the Latics` 2-1 defeat to Leyton Orient on Saturday after landing awkwardly during a training session the previous day. A scan has since confirmed damage to the hamstring tendon, meaning Kabba faces a frustrating spell on the sidelines.

Oldham boss Joe Royle told the club`s official website: "Steve tweaked his hamstring in training and he didn`t think there was any problem as he completed the session."

He added: "But it stiffened up on the morning of the game and it became clear he could not play."
