At the age of 36, there's a good chance even Dirk Kuyt would probably admit his best days are now behind him.

After dedicating almost 20 years of his life to football, it seems fitting that he is now winding down back at the club where he really made heads turn, Feyenoord.

He left Holland in 2006 to enjoy fruitful spells at Liverpool and Fenerbahce but returned to his homeland in 2015.

Kuyt isn't being a passenger in this Feyenoord team either - so far this season the veteran forward has contributed 11 goals and six assists in all competitions.

It will certainly be a sad day when the 104-capped former Dutch international does decide it is time to hang up his boots.

However, there's a good chance we might not have to wait too long before we see the name Kuyt on the scoresheet somewhere again.

That's because a video has emerged of the Feyenoord striker's five-year-old son in action and it is impressive, to say the least.

With a truly stunning individual goal, Aidan Kuyt has shown plenty of potential to follow in his father's footsteps.

As you can see in the video below, Aidan displays really good, close control and glides past four defenders like they weren't even there before firing home a strike at the near post.

He's even rocking a bit of his father's hairstyle too!

Like father, like son.

For a five-year-old, that really is pretty special.

You'll be able to find videos of Lionel Messi enjoying similar scalps at the sort of age too.

Of course, Aidan still has plenty of work ahead should he want to pursue a career in football but we'll be sure to track his progress very closely indeed!

He's certainly got a decent role model to seek advice from - providing he'll even need it!
