Player celebrations have been spoken about rigorously in the past few weeks after Harry Kane and Dele Alli's famous handshake incident against Stoke. Many thought that the standard could not drop any lower than the two England internationals, however, fellow Englishman Jesse Lingard has taken it so far it may never be surpassed. He and teammate Paul Pogba are known to produce the odd 'dab' here and there but the midfielder came up with something spectacularly bad after he scored a wonder goal against Middlesbrough. The celebration can be seen below:

That's right, Lingard almost does an impression of the Pied Piper in what has to be one of the worst ever celebrations in the English top flight.

Of course, in the social media age we live in, Lingard came in for some criticism on Twitter and, to be honest, it was fully deserved.

However, Lingard will likely not be bothered by the tweets, in fact, he will probably be jumping for joy as United secured a vital three points with a 3-1 win at the Riverside.

Jose Mourinho's side have now gone above bitter rivals Arsenal in the race for the top four as they finally removed themselves from sixth position, a place which they have been constantly ridiculed for.

Marouane Fellaini, Lingard and Antonio Valencia helped secure the hard-fought victory as United embark on a hugely packed fixture schedule after the international break.

Mourinho can certainly be happy with the win, but, nevertheless, he simply has to have a word in Lingard's ear to prevent anything like that celebration happening again. Think of the children.
