Manager Sean O'Driscoll admitted his Doncaster side are still in a relegation "dogfight" in the Coca-Cola Championship following their 2-1 defeat to Watford at the Keepmoat Stadium.
James Hayter grabbed his 14th goal of the season for Rovers in the closing stages but it wasn't enough for O'Driscoll's men following an own goal from Sam Hird and Don Cowie's header inside the opening 18 minutes.
"I've no idea how many points we need to be safe but I know we are in a dogfight in this division - and that's been the case from the very first game." said the Doncaster boss.
"It's immaterial whether we deserved to take something from the game or not because the facts are that we didn't.
"But I don't have a problem with our performance. I thought we reacted well after going behind and showed a lot of character."
