Blackpool boss Tony Parkes is facing a nervous wait to discover if DJ Campbell will be passed fit for Saturday's crunch derby at Lancashire rivals Preston.

The on-loan Leicester striker, who has scored six goals since arriving in January, sustained an ankle injury in the 1-0 home defeat to Plymouth at the weekend and was replaced after 49 minutes.

"DJ turned his ankle over in the first half," said Parkes. "He played on because sometimes you can run it off and we wanted him to stay on but it didn't improve."
