Gareth Bale has scored some phenomenal goals throughout his career, but one will always be remembered by Real Madrid fans.

In the 2014 Copa del Rey final against Barcelona, with the scores level at 1-1 in the 85th minute, the Welshman scored a stunning solo goal to win the title.

From Fabio Coentrao's pass inside Real's half, Bale knocked the ball past Marc Bartra and roared past the centre-back before firing past Victor Valdes.

What made Bale's winner even more special was how he ran off the pitch and into the technical area just to get around Bartra and reach the ball.

In case your memory is hazy, check out the 27-year-old's effort below.

BALE VS BARTRA

What a goal. Bale's goal capped a fantastic first season in the Spanish capital for the winger - but spare a thought for poor ol' Bartra.

The Spaniard has been trolled for being roasted by Bale ever since, with Iker Casillas becoming the latest to mock his countryman.

Bartra conducted an Instagram live session to his 5.2 million followers on Monday, which Casillas was watching and posted a couple of hilarious comments about how he still hasn't caught up with Bale (see below).

CASILLAS RUINS BARTRA

In four separate comments, Casillas wrote: "Marc, one thing. Have you seen it? Have you caught Bale yet? Behind you, it's Bale!"

Destroyed. Bartra simply wasn't quick enough to keep up with Bale in the Copa del Rey final, yet he blamed a lack of fitness after the game.

"Things did not go for me, I have spent the whole week screwed because of the hamstrings," he said after the final, per ESPN.

"I tried to hold on but I was not good physically and in the end it was not to be. I didn't train at all with the team before the game, not even this morning.

"In the end I played and I felt good, but I was very tired in the final minutes. I cramped up in the final play."
