The Undertaker's WWE future following WrestleMania 33

To hype up his match next weekend at WrestleMania 33 against Roman Reigns, The Undertaker made an appearance this past week on Monday Night RAW.

The Deadman showed up to confront The Big Dog during his match against Braun Strowman and delivered a chokeslam to The Monster Among Men to get him out of the way. What he forgot was that Reigns was still in the other corner, and when he turned around, the former Shield member gave him a spear.

This sets us up nicely for the final week of RAW before WrestleMania 33 on April 2 in what could turn out to be The Undertaker’s final match before he goes into retirement, and recent reports only emphasize that this could be The Phenom’s last match.

Wrestling Inc has reported The Undertaker was in a great deal of pain following taking a spear from Reigns on RAW. This, added on to the pain he was in at the Royal Rumble due to hip issues, and we could very well be witnessing his final appearance in the ring at WrestleMania 33.

Wrestling Inc has said: “According to PWInsider, one of the biggest discussions backstage during Raw was the status of The Undertaker post-WrestleMania, as he was walking around in a great deal of pain.

“It was reported that he was not very happy at the event due to the level of pain he was in. As a result, the discussions increased that this year may indeed be the final WrestleMania for the Dead Man.”

While there are several dream matches which The Undertaker could have against the likes of Sting and John Cena, WWE would not want to see him working in pain.

Therefore, it looks as though WWE executives could be coming to the decision that this year’s WrestleMania will be The Deadman’s last so that he can go and have major hip surgery which will most likely bring an end to his illustrious career.

Although some fans might be upset with it, the storyline of Reigns claiming the WWE is his yard now and that he will defeat The Undertaker to prove it is a fitting end to his career as it provides a passing of the torch moment for fans to enjoy.

If this is The Deadman’s last match, hopefully, WWE boost it up to be the main event of WrestleMania 33.

If not, fingers crossed The Phenom is able to come back for one more match next year at WrestleMania 34 and give him a proper send-off and one which he deserves for everything he has done for the WWE.
