Following his horrific leg break in last night's World Cup qualifier against Wales, Seamus Coleman has undergone surgery this morning as he begins his long road to recovery. The Republic of Ireland captain suffered fractures in the tibia and fibula bones in his right leg after a reckless challenge from Neil Taylor and obviously, at this early stage, it is still very difficult to predict when he will return.Meanwhile, Joe Allen has revealed how Taylor - who was sent off for the tackle on Coleman - reacted in the changing room in the immediate aftermath of the 0-0 draw."He’s in bits, to be honest," Allen said, as per The Mirror."Tayls is one of my best mates and he’s a great guy and he’s really disappointed that one of his tackles has ended up getting someone hurt."There was no malice in the tackle and he certainly wouldn’t have intended to hurt anyone."I know him as well as anyone and I think everyone is disappointed and from Seamus’ point of view it doesn’t look great."As can often be the case in the modern age, Taylor received a torrent of abuse on social media for the nature of the tackle. But it would appear that some football fans massively jumped the gun when they were trying to tag Taylor in their angry tweets. In their haste, many didn't even realise that the Aston Villa full-back doesn't actually have Twitter and instead tagged Neil Taylor - an ex-councillor from Altrincham.Even a quick look at his profile picture should have been enough for some users to understand they were making a mistake, but no.Nevertheless, the innocent Taylor in question actually took the whole mistaken identity incident quite well and made it unequivocally clear he was not who many people Twitter assumed he was.He has posted a series of hilarious tweets to clear up the situation including this brilliant one:"1: I do not play football 2: I dont even like football 3; I was in a school footie team aged about 6 (we lost every game)"

He will certainly have a few more followers after this!

It should serve as a lesson to all of those who rush to their phones to vent their anger on Twitter. Not everyone would have reacted as well as Mr Taylor.
