Owls keeper takes nothing for Grant-ed

Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Lee Grant claims his side owe a good performance to the rest of the Coca-Cola Championship when they host Southampton.

"It would be unfair of us to down-tools," Grant told the Owls' official website. "That wouldn't be fair because we owe it to every team in the Championship to give it our best shot."

Saints visit Hillsborough two points adrift of safety and with the situation at the foot of the table getting ever tighter.

And Grant believes Wednesday still have a job to do, adding: "We have to make sure we are not the team to get rolled over. The position that Southampton are in will give us something different to contend with."

Grant and his defensive colleagues can take pride in their performances on home turf this year: "We still have the best home record in the Championship in terms of goals conceded," he said.
