Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock is backing his relegation-threatened side to retain their Championship status and finish the season with a flourish.

Argyle are 19th ahead of Saturday's trip to Queens Park Rangers and host relegation rivals Barnsley in the last match of the season a week on Sunday.

Sturrock said: "I want to race over the finishing line and finish with a couple of good results. Of course the priority is ensuring our safety but we can do that with a win."
