There was a huge surprise in store on the WrestleMania 33 pre-show on Sunday night, as a fourth man etched his name on to the trophy by winning the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal.
Rather surprisingly, it was SmackDown LIVE’s Mojo Rawley that managed to overcome the odds to win it all, following in the footsteps of Cesaro, The Big Show and Baron Corbin.
It came as a shock to see Braun Strowman eliminated early on in the match, especially since he was the favourite.

However, it seems as if WWE will be using this as a platform to help Mojo move up a level on the blue brand, whereas a win probably wouldn’t have done much for Strowman as he’s been consistently impressive on Monday Night RAW anyway.
WrestleMania is also a time where the company likes to bring in celebrities, and in recent years we’ve seen the likes of Ronda Rousey make an appearance and this year, it was expected that Shaquille O’Neal would be inside of Camping World Stadium to take on The Big Show, but it didn’t happen.
Instead, it was New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski that was in attendance in the front row, cheering on his good friend Rawley – something that’s well documented on social media whenever the two are together.
SECURITY VS. GRONK
What fans didn’t expect, though, was that the Gronk would get physical in Orlando.
He eventually managed to find his way to the ring, and took out Jinder Mahal with a huge shoulder tackle after an altercation on the outside, helping Rawley to victory with Killian Dain also involved in the latter stages.
However, eagle-eyed fans noticed an interesting exchange on the outside moments earlier.
Gronkowski attempted to jump over the barricade and get into the ring, but it looks like one female security officer wasn’t given the memo and assumed he wasn’t supposed to be there or was just a drunk fan; manhandling him against the barricade and refusing to let go.
Even Gronk looked confused as she grabbed him, but eventually she let him go as referees made her aware that the plan was to have the Patriots star involved in the match, and she laughed it off later where Charles Robinson also gave her a pat on the back for her good work, although it wasn’t necessarily needed.
You could also tell by the commentary that there was a bit of confusion, especially when you can see her zoom across your screen towards Gronk in an instant.
Despite that, it’s great to see the WWE would be in safe hands if a fan did decide to jump the barricade and get in on the action – but just imagine if she refused to let him go despite pleas?
This is one guard you do not want to cross.
