Deontay Wilder believes he is on 'another level' to Anthony Joshua

Deontay Wilder has had his say ahead of Anthony Joshua’s showdown with Wladimir Klitschko at the end of this month, by claiming that he is on ‘another level’ to the Brit.

Wilder, who is the WBC world champion, believes that his experience and ability to adapt in the ring makes him a better boxer than Joshua.

The American was talking to Fight Hype recently and stated: “I definitely feel like I’m on a whole ‘nother level than Joshua.

“I’ve been in this game for a while now. I’m very experienced. I think I’ve seen every style to see, you know, the major styles that I need to see.

“I think I’ve seen it, I’ve learned it, and that’s what allows me to adjust in the ring and do my thing.

“I definitely feel and know that I’m in another league of my own when you compare the two of us”.

Though Wilder did not give a clear prediction ahead of Joshua’s fight with Klitschko, he did signal that he wanted the Brit to see off the challenge of Klitschko – so there could be a possibility of both Joshua and Wilder meeting again.

Wilder added: “I mean, if you look at Joshua, Klitschko, and (Joseph) Parker, Parker has the WBO belt, and you take those three and put me up on a chart and say which one would be the most exciting fight, a lot of people would think the Joshua fight would be the most exciting fight out of the three and I think I agree”.

All eyes though are still very firmly fixed on Joshua’s fight against Klitschko, which takes place at Wembley Stadium on April 29th, where Joshua will potentially be hoping to send out a message to Wilder.
