Manchester United have drawn nine home games in the Premier League this season, and they are in danger of losing one of their top players should their form not improve.

It took a 94th-minute penalty from Zlatan Ibrahimovic to save Jose Mourinho's side on Tuesday night against Everton at Old Trafford. They were staring defeat in the face after Phil Jagielka had put the visitors in front.

Although they have not lost in 20 matches, United have drawn 12 times since a 4-0 defeat at Chelsea in October, winning only eight.

The team remain fifth in the league but are four points behind Manchester City, who currently sit in fourth, and The Citizens also have a game in hand.

This means United could be seven points away from securing a Champions League spot by the end of Wednesday night.

To make things worse, one of their star players has suggested that he will leave the club if they don't start to match his winning ambitions.

Ibrahimovic, who came to United's rescue last night, sent his manager a warning during an interview with the club's in-house TV channel.

"It's not like I'm 20 and I have another five or 10 years. Probably I have one, two, three years so everything depends on what you want and what the club wants," he told MUTV, as per the Daily Mail

The striker has been linked with a move away from England, with both LA Galaxy and Napoli interested. It would not be surprising to see the 35-year-old make a similar switch to the likes of Steven Gerrard and David Beckham, who both played at Galaxy during their twilight years.

Ibrahimovic added, "I said from day one I didn't come here to waste time, I came here to win. If you want to win bigger then you have to create bigger".

Mourinho will be desperate to hold onto Ibrahimovic, who has bailed him out of a number of situations since joining from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.

The Swedish striker scored the winner in United's 2-1 League Cup final win at Wembley against Southampton in February, securing his first piece of silverware with the club.

Ibrahimovic now has 26 goals and nine assists in 41 appearances this season, proving that he's one of the most valuable players in Mourinho's squad.

Should they fail to secure Champions League football for next season, then United will struggle to hold on to Ibrahimovic, and they may suffer even more than they have this term.
