Michael Bisping has a UFC middleweight title match against Georges St-Pierre lined up for the near future. He recently told St-Pierre and Yoel Romero that one of them might have something coming if things broke their way.GSP simply wants to make his grand return to the promotion by beating the reigning champion for the middleweight belt whenever the two face each other. Romero will have to hope that details don’t solidify quickly enough to get his shot. With the date for Bisping’s bout with the former champion scheduled for July, it looks like Romero will not be getting his chance at the moment. The challenger will likely try to go retrieve the welterweight title that he vacated in 2013 after he fights the English champion.Rumors have placed the fight somewhere near July 8th at UFC 213 in Las Vegas, but besides that introductory press conference, no details have been set in stone. Bisping has said multiple times that there might be some other motivations from GSP to stall this fight. The champion has pointed toward an effort to bulk up on the part of his challenger multiple times. Now, The Count has stated extra motivation to rain on GSP’s comeback parade in an effort to stop all the talk of Conor McGregor fighting his opponent before it starts.Bisping said: “You’ve gotta look at the dollars and cents. That, for [the UFC] - because me and Conor are never going to fight. I’m way too big, I’d slap him around silly, let’s be honest.“But GSP, that’s fathomable. That could very, very easily happen, and if I own the company, that’s what I want. But I’m gonna rain on the parade. I’m gonna take a big s**t on that bonfire.”This is the second time that the champ has referenced a scheme that would be the most intricate plan for his challenger to make MMA history. The Count is correct in assuming that beating him and Notorious would give St-Pierre an argument as the greatest MMA fighter ever.

The plan is one thing, but GSP will still have to beat Bisping and then face another challenger before Conor McGregor. If it were to happen, there is no doubt it would be the biggest MMA bout of all time.

But, as the champ has already said, don’t count those chickens before they are hatched. Fans haven’t seen the challenger in the ring for a long time and he will have to be at the top of his game to complete this comeback successfully.
