Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has reaffirmed his commitment to Leicester City by shutting down rumours of a move to Manchester United on Twitter yesterday.

The Nigerian has only been at Leicester for four months, after signing in January from Belgian side Genk. He has played a key role in the Foxes rise up the Premier League table, and the club are now 11th in the league, after finishing January just to places above the relegation zone.

Ndidi has two goals and one assist from 13 games since arriving in England. He's also caught the attention of a number of big name clubs, with the Mirror reporting that both Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in signing the 20-year-old.

On Thursday afternoon, a tweet reading "Hakeem Bello (Agent of Leicester midfielder Wilfred Ndidi) claims the Nigerian would not be able to turn down a move to Manchester United" surfaced on the player's social media.

'RedReveal', the Twitter account that posted the tweet, added a quote from Bello:

"We're talking (about) Manchester United, the biggest and most successful (club) in England. That's a no brainer."

However, Ndidi acted quickly to deny these rumours, suggesting that he is "200% with Leicester" and that he doesn't even know who the reported agent is.

The reply will have delighted Leicester fans, who would have been fearing that they're going to lose Ndidi in a similar way to N'Golo Kante last season.

The Foxes have a tough run in as the season draws to a close, so need all their players focused completely on the task ahead.

They face Everton at Goodison Park at the weekend before playing arguably one of the biggest matches in their history against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

The Spanish side are at home in the first leg of their quarter-final clash, and Leicester will be hoping to get a solid result to take back to the King Power ahead of the return fixture.

But with the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Fernando Torres and Koke in Diego Simeone's team, shutting them out will be a real challenge.

As much as Leicester will want to hold on to Ndidi, if the likes of United do come knocking, they may be unable to stop the player from leaving.

With 35-year-old Michael Carrick coming to the end of his career, Jose Mourinho will be desperate to find a quality young player to replace him. Arguably, the Nigerian is just that.
