Though the Cleveland Cavaliers cruised to an easy 114-91 victory over the Celtics in Boston on Wednesday night, that wasn't what fans were talking about on Twitter before and after the game. No, a moment that happened during pregame warmups drew a lot of attention on social media - both for the embarrassing nature of the event and the immediate reaction from J.R. Smith. While shooting a jumper before the game, Cleveland forward Kevin Love took a basketball directly to the face, knocking him backwards.Fortunately, as you can see in the video below, Smith was there to catch his teammate, lower him gently to the court and jokingly perform CPR on him to bring him back to life:

Love's face was clearly OK, and Smith's reaction was perfect, so it naturally drew a big response on Twitter, as fans commented on the bromance between Love and Smith.

Some of the best tweets about Love's embarrassing pregame moment can be seen below, complete with a side-by-side comparison to the time LeBron James was hit in the face with a basketball earlier this season:

The pregame incident clearly didn't affect Love after tipoff, as the talented forward scored 15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to help the Cavs earn an important victory over their Eastern Conference rivals.

With the win, the Cavaliers are now 51-27 on the season and lead the Celtics by 1.5 games in the race for the East's No. 1 overall playoff seed. LeBron led the way for Wednesday's contest, scoring 36 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out six assists.

After the game, LeBron told ESPN.com that the win was important after the recent struggles the Cavaliers have been dealing with:

"Just trying to get our team right going down the stretch brings out the best in me," James said. "We knew we were coming to a hostile building tonight and just wanted to try and play our game ... and we did that."

Cleveland has a brutal stretch to end the regular season. The Cavs will take on the Atlanta Hawks in Cleveland on Friday night and will then head to Atlanta for a second-straight game against the Hawks on Sunday afternoon.

Then, Cleveland will head to South Beach to take on a desperate Miami Heat team that is fighting for its playoff life. To end the regular season, the Cavs will play host to the Toronto Raptors, who will likely be fighting to hold off the Washington Wizards for the No. 3 seed in the East.

No matter how things play out, though, Love needs to make sure he avoids taking any more basketballs to his face. He's too important to miss any time with an avoidable injury.
