On Tuesday night the Dallas Mavericks did something special to honor a player who has meant a lot to Dallas sports in recent years. Thanks to owner Mark Cuban and future Hall-of-Famer Dirk Nowitzki, the team managed to work it out so that they were able to get former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo in uniform. It was a pretty awesome moment that featured Romo taking part in the morning shootaround and doing press conferences as well. Best of all, he had a full uniform and was part of the team's pregame announcements. From there, he sat on the bench next to Cuban and got to cheer on the Mavericks throughout the game. At one point, he even jokingly almost went into the game, but the NBA wouldn't allow it, so Cuban had to shut it down. After seeing Romo (who was surprisingly good at basketball) suit up with the Mavs as the team honored his time with the Cowboys, another star NFL QB made it known that he wants next. This was none other than Green Bay Packers signal caller Aaron Rodgers, who responded to a fan's tweet by saying he'll be working on his jumper until the Milwaukee Bucks give him a chance to lace them up.

While it's probably not close to happening just yet, as Rodgers is only 33 years old and is showing no signs of slowing down, he can probably rest easy. When the time does come that he opts to retire, assuming he's with the Packers throughout his career, it wouldn't be the slightest bit surprising to see the Bucks reach out.

Even still, Romo showed off a pretty impressive jumper and looked like he actually belonged on the court. So with that said, Rodgers seemingly has some big shoes to fill, but fortunately, he has quite a few years before that time does indeed come. So, let's wait and see, but have no fear, Aaron, you're on everyone's radar to potentially put on the Bucks jersey and go out with the same honor that Romo did.
