Wladimir Klitschko opened up on his 2015 defeat to Tyson Fury recently as he continues his preparations to face Anthony Joshua on April 29.It was Klitschko’s first defeat in 11 years and saw him lose the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight belts.A rematch was expected to take place last year but was cancelled after Fury was declared ‘medically unfit’.The Brit, who was stripped of his titles, then admitted to taking cocaine and hasn’t fought since.Klitschko has ruled out the possibility of facing Fury again, saying the controversial 28-year-old has “destroyed himself”.“I lost to Fury but I did not feel beaten,” Klitschko said, per the Daily Mail. “He did not beat me, I defeated myself that night.

“Since then it is Fury who has destroyed himself, making it impossible for us to have the rematch.”

Fury is planning a comeback

Such comments are unlikely to sit well with Fury, who has vowed to make a comeback.

“I still miss the fighting very much. Very, very much,” he recently told Olimp Sport Nutrition. “I would say the comeback is highly likely. Highly.”

Forget Klitschko. Just seeing Fury fight anyone would be a welcome sight.

Fury aims a shot at Klitschko

The Gypsy King continues to keep Klitschko’s name in his mouth, though.

He sent a tweet on Thursday morning accusing Klitschko of “copying his style” for the Joshua fight. Check it out below.

“Funny how @Klitschko is trying to copy my style for his fight vs FLEX,” Fury wrote, “u know what they say if u can’t beat them join them!”

April 29 bout

No doubt Fury will take a vested interest in Klitschko’s fight with Joshua at the O2 Arena.

Joshua is putting his IBF heavyweight belt on the line, while the vacant WBA and IBO heavyweight are also available.

Klitschko's warning to Joshua

Klitschko issued a warning to his unbeaten opponent as he compared himself to Mount Everest and said Everest will “take another life this April”.

“Please excuse me if this sounds arrogant, but for parallel example: Mount Everest,” the Ukrainian continued.

“A lot die there. Some make it back but is Everest defeated? No. It’s still there.

“Just four men have conquered me in 68 fights. But this Mount Everest is still here and it will take another life this April.”
