Tyson Fury, once the heavyweight champion, has been out of training for six months now, but is still adamant that his big return to the sport will come.

The self-proclaimed "Gypsy King" has been on the fringes of boxing, supporting British lightweight Terry Flanagan in Manchester, ahead of his WBO lightweight title defence against Petr Petrov last Saturday.

Fury was also scheduled to rematch Wladimir Klitschko on July 9, but that bout was forced back to October 29, before being cancelled indefinitely due to Tyson being declared "medically unfit".

The man from Manchester also failed two drug tests late last year, testing positive for cocaine, and because of that, he remains suspended by the British Boxing Board of Control.

So what is to become of Tyson "2 Fast" Fury?

Well, legendary boxing manager and promoter Frank Warren seems to have some idea.

Warren, who would have been one of the main promoters for the Fury vs Klitschko rematch, believes Fury's future will soon be decided, stating to Boxing News: "He's got his hearing on May 8, and that's going to determine what's going to happen to his future, and hopefully that'll get resolved."

"We just want to get back in the ring. He's the best heavyweight out there, by far."

Fury is to set for a hearing on May 8, to find out if the UK Anti-Doping Agency has put a case together in regards to his aforementioned failed drug tests. It is a big factor on if and/or when we will see the former champ back in the ring.

So, will we ever see the Fury vs Klitschko rematch that so many boxing fanatics are pining for?

Short answer? Probably not.

Klitschko has a fight against IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua later this month at Wembley, and it seems Fury's return to boxing, whenever that may be, will be a fight against Manuel Charr, with Fury seeming to agree to fight the "Diamond Boy" in a video recorded at the FIBO fitness exhibition in Cologne, Germany.

Whether you love him or hate him, Tyson Fury certainly brings a certain spark to the sport, and most people are eager to see his return.
