Though UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping is widely seen as the most vulnerable fighter currently to hold a title, the fact of the matter is that he still has the belt.

That's something the champ isn't shy about sharing. He's also not shy about sharing his thoughts on other fighters in his class - whether they be positive or negative thoughts.

Through his "Believe You Me" podcast, Bisping has consistently made headlines as he awaits a fight against UFC legend Georges St-Pierre sometime this year.

On a recent episode of "Believe You Me," Bisping said that once he defeats GSP, he wants to fight up-and-coming middleweight star Robert Whittaker instead of the current top challenger, Yoel Romero. In fact, he trashed Romero for a doping suspension that will keep him out of action for six months (via MMAFighting.com):

“Yoel Romero is a dirty, lying, cheating scumbag," he said. "If you want to do Whittaker after I’ve beaten GSP, we can. If not, I’ll do Romero. But I see Robert as a more worthy contender. He stopped Jacare, Romero didn’t stop Jacare. And Robert hasn’t tested positive for steroids so really I think it should be Robert next.”

Indeed, Whittaker knocked out Ronaldo Souza on UFC on FOX 24 over the weekend, positioning himself as one of Bisping's top challengers.

However, Bisping has a history of taking jabs at Romero, so he continued by saying that, in order to mess with Romero, he'll only accept a title defense battle against Whittaker:

“Let’s officially now start the campaign that after I beat GSP, it should be Robert Whittaker. Robert Whittaker vs. Michael Bisping because - okay, maybe there’s a case that he’s the most worthy contender - but more importantly, just to f**k with Yoel Romero. He is the only fight I will take after Georges St-Pierre.

“I just think, all those things together, Robert Whittaker - okay, admittedly, way better matchup for me stylistically - but, facts are facts and I think he should be the No. 1 contender.”

Since the Bisping-GSP fight sounds like it won't actually happen until this fall, Whittaker will likely have to fight again before he can battle for the middleweight title.

One opponent Bisping suggested for Whittaker's next bout is Luke Rockhold, who Bisping defeated at UFC 199 to earn the middleweight belt.

If Bisping takes down GSP, he's trying to position himself for what will likely be an early-2018 fight against either Rockhold (which would be the third time those two have battled) or Whittaker, who has won his last seven matchups.

Whatever happens, though, one thing is clear - Bisping is enjoying his time on the throne.
