Twenty-four goals in 32 Premier League appearances tells you all you need to know about just how good Romelu Lukaku has been this season.

He currently finds himself top of the goalscoring charts as a result, four above the brilliant Harry Kane and five ahead of Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez.

Everton are lucky to have the Belgian - but that might not last long.

According to various sources, Lukaku wants to leave Goodison Park this summer in search of Champions League football after rejecting a contract extension.

Asked if he can become one of the world's best last month, Lukaku replied: "Definitely, but to do that you need the platform to show yourself.

"Then you are talking about Champions League and whatever types of games. I don't want to go into details on that but you just follow the path that is in front of you."

Among those interested in Lukaku are Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, though Everton's £100 million valuation of the 23-year-old could be a problem.

However, according to the Telegraph, Lukaku has already decided on his next club.

The report states he has told friends he wants to rejoin Chelsea and play under Antonio Conte, despite the competition he would face for a starting role.

Lukaku has 'unfinished business' at Stamford Bridge and that's believed to be the motivation behind a potential move.

But his price tag isn't the only problem. The Telegraph also claim that Everton would rather sell Lukaku to United because of the John Stones transfer saga with Chelsea in 2015.

Everton are still holding a grudge over what happened two years ago, which could prevent Lukaku from securing a dream return.

In another strange development, the Belgium international appeared to react to news that he wants to join Chelsea with a cryptic tweet on Twitter - which he has since deleted.

A screenshot of the tweet wasn't taken, but he wrote: "When the hate don't work they start telling lies…" @frenchmontana," referring to a song called 'Ball Drop'.

So why did Lukaku delete it? No one knows for sure, but it seemed like he was rubbishing the rumours linking him with Chelsea. To be continued...
