Paul Pogba has endured his fair share of criticism following his £89 million move to Manchester United from Juventus last summer.

The French midfielder’s confidence has taken some hefty blows over recent months and there’s no doubt the best is still to come from the 24-year-old.

But despite his struggles, Pogba has still managed to show glimpses of his world-class talent since returning to Old Trafford. And we all saw another glimpse of his extraordinary ability in United’s Europa League quarter-final second leg against Anderlecht this evening.

United took the lead in the 10th minute thanks to Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who fired past Anderlecht goalkeeper Rubén Iván Martínez following a short pass from the in-form Marcus Rashford.

However, it was Pogba’s ‘pre-assist’ that made United fans on social media explode with joy.

Pogba's pass v Anderlecht was a beauty

The France international produced a neat bit of skill to get past Youri Tielemans before hitting an inch-perfect 50-yard pass into Rashford’s path.

Few players on the planet could have provided such a pass. Pogba made it look so effortless.
