The NBA is full of fascinating storylines that, if you look hard enough, are complex and unpredictable enough to be scripted television at times.
The biggest story in the last year has been the reloading of the Golden State Warriors via signing Kevin Durant as a free agent. Durant's decision to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder was a huge moment in the NBA, just as LeBron returning from a 3-1 finals deficit was.
Bleacher Report has been creating spoof videos based around the NBA that resemble Game of Thrones for some time now. The "Game of Zones" usually features some hilarious parallels to the hit HBO series, and their new episode focuses on Durant's free agency quest.
Dubbed "KD's Summer Odyssey," the season premiere episode opens with a knightly Durant explaining to Enes Kanter and Steven Adams - decked out as Dothrakians - that he must leave their town because of free agency.
As Durant gallops off to test the markets, the camera pans over to the silhouette of Russell Westbrook. Cleverly, they play off of his Jordan Brand commercial featuring the song " Do What I Want" as Russell says he'll do what he wants now that Durant has left town.

The next scene features Durant meeting with the Wizards and a bickering duo of Bradley Beal and John Wall. The duo, who've alluded to having chemistry issues, essentially do enough damage to sway Durant away.
Following the Wizards, Durant meets with the San Antonio Spurs. Gregg Popovich, Manu Ginobili are white walkers - the equivalent of zombies in the show - and fittingly have very little to say. The best part is definitely the soul box that traps a player's personality if he joins the Spurs.
A quick meeting with the 76ers ends after the word tanking is said and we hit the pivotal moment. A meeting with Steve Kerr, Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry in their shining palace. Kerr's speech is quite the kicker.
"Oh it's true, if you were to join us you would be endlessly ridiculed. Your old teammates will despise you and the fans in Oklahoma will cook their stew on the flames of your burning jersey. People will call you a traitor, a coward, and some may say you would destroy the entire balance of the realm.," he says.
Durant grimaces at the idea, but smirks after Kerr takes a puff from his pipe and says that, on the other hand, they'd be so good.
Cut to King James addressing the crowd after the championship, promising more titles to his kingdom as Kyrie Irving receives a scroll with the realm-altering news. He passes it to LeBron, who quickly changes his tune of promising multiple NBA Finals victories.
There's so much NBA goodness tucked into this four-minute video. Easter eggs are everywhere, and it's some amazing content for fans of both hoops and the massively popular HBO show. Well done.
