While the brand extension hasn’t been beneficial to everyone on the WWE roster, there are a handful of stars that have certainly impressed by moving to either Monday Night RAW or SmackDown LIVE.

Braun Strowman has run riot on the red brand, and it shows just how much faith the company has in him as they continue to place him in the big spots with Roman Reigns waiting for him at Payback, before a potential Universal Championship clash against Brock Lesnar.

THE LONE WOLF

The same can be said over on the Tuesday night show as they have an impressive big man of their own, but you could argue that there’s been a slower build to take Baron Corbin to the top compared to the Monster Among Men.

There’s no denying how much The Lone Wolf has impressed recently; so much so that some officials apparently value him higher than Strowman – and that alone speaks volumes.

He’s going to be a top star in the coming months, and perhaps SmackDown’s biggest heel towards the end of the year but the major feud coming his way involves a championship.

It’s expected that once Randy Orton successfully defends his WWE Championship against the surprising contender in Jinder Mahal at the SmackDown-exclusive Backlash event, Corbin will be waiting in the wings to be the next challenger.

That’s going to be a great experience for him, as it shows that WWE is serious about making him a legitimate contender and in the process, building up a future star.

CHANGES

An update on this has come from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, where he’s claimed that the company is looking to make some changes to Corbin’s character.

Based on what he claimed, it doesn’t sound like the whole gimmick will change, which is a good thing, but the biggest alteration could come in the form of a brand new entrance theme.

His current one matches him perfectly, but you already imagine somebody as imposing as him coming down to the ring with a much more menacing song blaring the PA system.

Plus, CFO$ have been heavily praised for the work they have done in regards to entrance themes, so you can bet they’re going to go all out to make sure Corbin has a brilliant one.

Meltzer also claimed that WWE will be looking to make other slight changes to his character, but didn’t specify what they could be.

Based on speculation, his look could stay the same for the most part but it’s clear that the wolf vest he dons while competing hinders his look a little, so perhaps that’s something they could look to change.

He has a great move-set for his character and got himself into incredible shape and so far, he’s succeeded with what he’s done.

Let’s hope WWE doesn’t decide to make too many changes as he gears up to face The Viper.
