Tony Adams has made quite the introduction at Granada, hasn’t he?The legendary defender was a surprise appointment by the La Liga relegation candidates with him having very little previous experience. And Adams did nothing to convince football fans that he was cut out for the job in his first press conference in Spain. He explained how was going to give the players "a kick up the arse", "liven up the team" and "hopefully achieve a miracle" in keeping Granada in the top flight of Spanish football. He then revealed his master plan of using his "40 years of experience in football" to try and "keep the ball out of one end, and stick it in the other".

Adams' press conference

Right…

He then brought 32-year-old pair Kieran Richardson and Nigel Reo-Coker to train with the club.

If that wasn’t enough, his first training session was bizarre, to say the least.

Adams probably doesn’t speak Spanish and the Granada players probably don’t speak English. So how did the new manager communicate to his team?

With a series of very strange movements as he attempted to show his side what he was trying to say. It looked ridiculous.

Adams' first training session

On the pitch, Adams hasn’t started life well.

The Arsenal icon needed to arrive and have an immediate impact at the club with them staring relegation in the face. However, a 3-0 home defeat against a much-changed Celta Vigo was followed up by a 2-0 loss to Sevilla on Friday night.

The result leaves them seven points from safety, with them having played a game more than the teams around them.

And Adams was at it again against Sevilla.

With his side losing 2-0 with the match entering injury-time in the second-half, you’d think that he would just be resigned to defeat.

However, it seems that Adams still wanted to pass a message onto one of his players. To do that, he performed a bit of a waddle with his hands out to the side like a crab.

Adams' behaviour vs Sevilla

It was very bizarre. Take a look:

Twitter reacts

And, as you can imagine, Twitter reacted brilliantly. Check out the best reaction:

It didn’t appear that any of his players were actually looking at him so quite who Adams was aiming his instructions at in unknown.

Either way, it’s just another bizarre act from him in his short spell in charge of Granada.

With just five matches remaining, they certainly need a “miracle” to survive. They face Malaga (H), Real Sociedad (A), Real Madrid (H), Osasuna (A) and Espanyol (H) knowing they need to win almost all of their upcoming matches.
