The world will stop on Saturday night when Anthony Joshua steps into the ring at Wembley Stadium in front of 90,000 fans where he faces his toughest challenge of his young career – Wladimir Klitschko.

It’s a battle of youth vs. experience and whether it’s time for the new guard to take over, but Dr. Steelhammer has reiterated that he is obsessed with defeating the unbeaten Joshua and he isn’t going to be an easy test.

WILDER IN ATTENDANCE

While Klitschko was the keen observer when Joshua pummelled his way to a second-successive title defence against Eric Molina in December, this time he’ll have a fellow world heavyweight champion watching his every move as Deontay Wilder will be in attendance.

The Bronze Bomber will be at ringside when the fight goes down where he’ll be working for Sky Sports, and has revealed that he sees the clash as a genuine 50-50.

Although he wants to fight them both, he revealed that he wants the 27-year-old IBF champion to remain unbeaten so the two can eventually meet in a ‘mega fight.’

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “I would love to scrap with both of them, but particularly Joshua. Now, even though he is fighting Klitschko, the fans – even over here – want a Wilder-Joshua fight.

“For me, over here in the US, it is a bit strange they are all talking about and advertising us [Wilder and Joshua] and asking people who they want to see. Everyone wants to see it and I am all for giving the fans what they want.

“You only see mega-fights in boxing once in a while and in the heavyweight division, I think that would be the most exciting and the best in the history of heavyweight boxing for a long time.

“They are now looking for the younger generation and they want young and strong fighters and whenever they talk about the massive fights they want to see, they always talk about Joshua and me.

“I am happy to be part of the WBC and to represent the WBC and to have one of the most prestigious, well-known and respected belts in boxing. But I am just looking to unify. I want to unify the whole division.

“The first man to unify the division since Lennox Lewis is going to create a massive audience and be praised for the rest of their career. It will be a great achievement to do and I am looking to be the man to do it.”

Wilder has made his intentions clear this week, as he also called out Joseph Parker for a unification clash in July, following the news that Hughie Fury had pulled out of their bout.

Wilder will have the best seat in the house when he watches his heavyweight rivals in the ring, and perhaps Eddie Hearn may have another blockbuster announcement in store for fans with the Bronze Bomber in the house.

Then again, it could all be futile should Klitschko do the business on Saturday night.
