Players like Kawhi Leonard, Mike Conley and, of course, LeBron James are turning in amazing performances so far in the playoffs.

But there's always another side to that coin.

For every transcendent postseason performance that ups a player's stature in the league (and the pocketbook), there are guys who will have a tough summer getting a bad taste out of their mouths.

Here are the top five guys who had disappointing playoff performances:

5. DWIGHT HOWARD, ATLANTA

OK, maybe we're piling on poor Dwight.

It seems that team disappointment just follows around Howard, who helped destroy teams in Los Angeles and Houston after his heyday in Orlando (where, to be fair, he was fantastic).

Howard averaged 13.5 points, 12.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game in the regular season for the Hawks. Through five playoff games, Howard is getting 7.8 points, 11.4 points and 1.0 assists. So, not good.

And it looks like his team will be going home early. Again.

4. MICHAEL CARTER-WILLIAMS/JERIAN GRANT, CHICAGO

Fred Hoiberg just has no choices, or chances, thanks to these guys.

We're lumping these two point guard "options" together, as Hoiberg has discarded them together to the scrap heap.

After Rajon Rondo went down with a broken thumb, the Bulls pretty much went right past Grant, who started about half the team's games, and Carter-Williams, the former Rookie of the Year.

Carter-Williams did not play in Game 1 and has averaged 1.5 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game, while Grant got a DNP in Game 5 and averaged 3.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists in four games. The duo has forced Isaiah Canaan into action, after he sat the bench most of the season.

Of course, most of this falls into the front office's lap, as Gar Forman and John Paxson traded for Grant and Carter-Williams.

3. BLAKE GRIFFIN, LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS

It's hard to rag on a player after an injury, but Griffin and the Clippers are once again looking at an early summer.

His right big toe has a plantar plate injury, which he suffered against the Utah Jazz in Game 3, and is out for the rest of the playoffs.

So, probably, are the Clippers, who trail Utah 3-2 in the series heading back to Salt Lake City for Game 6 on Friday.

Griffin will be a free agent this season and likely stays in LA.

But you never know with these guys.

2. PAUL GEORGE, INDIANA

George had a fantastic series statistically, despite his team being swept against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

George averaged 28.0 points, 8.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists. Pretty good, huh?

However, a couple things will linger around George, who could be a free agent next summer and trade rumors, especially to the Los Angeles Lakers, will continue.

First, George called out teammate C.J. Miles after he missed the final shot in Game 1, in addition to other teammates for their performances. Then, in Game 4, George missed his own pathetic late 3-pointer.

PG13 is a solid player, of course, but his stock as a franchise player definitely took a hit this postseason.

1. ANDRE ROBERSON, OKLAHOMA CITY

Hey, we all feel bad for Andre Roberson.

And, really, the Oklahoma City Thunder guard had a pretty solid series, despite his team falling in five games to the Houston Rockets.

Except, that one thing.

"That one thing" was a 3-for-21 shooting performance from the free-throw line, which he admitted will "definitely be one thing that haunts me."

It sure will. Despite averaging a strong 11.6 points per game and 3.4 blocks in an outstanding defensive run, Roberson will always be remembered for his free-throw struggles in these playoffs.
