New Reading manager Brendan Rodgers will not stand in the way of any player who wants to leave the club.

Striker Kevin Doyle and winger Stephen Hunt have already attracted interest from the Premier League clubs and could be on their way out of the Madejski Stadium over the summer.

Rodgers told the Bracknell Forest Standard: "Stephen Hunt is a player who has done really well in the Premier League. He will feel he wants to maximise his earning and I have no problem with him wanting to play at the very best level."

He continued: "I wouldn't stand in his way if he thinks it's best to move on. The money has to be right but I think there will be bids for him.

"Doyle is a valuable asset. When you see him play you realise he is a top professional who is a Premier League striker.

"When a guy has that ability I don't think you can stand in his way. I will speak to him."
