Dwyane Wade and the Chicago Bulls have had a very strange season by just about any NBA standard that you can think of. They were a middling team all year, almost had their locker room explode due to infighting and found themselves up 2-0 in the 2017 Playoffs. In the end, they were absolutely unpredictable all the way to the end as they saw their season wrap up after a 105-83 beating at the hands of the Boston Celtics. The team that seemed so resilient and focused the entire way looked lost as the beatdown continued.Jimmy Butler was the only Bulls player on the floor that seemed interested in the outcome of this game. He finished with 23, but battled injuries amid an up and down series that saw him dominate in the first two games and fade later on as his ailments got worse.Rajon Rondo’s wild ride of a season is now over and he went from an enigma at the start of the season, to almost being cut from the team and finally revealed himself to be the most important player in the series on either side. His right thumb injury basically swung the series for the Celtics and that tells fans a ton about the state of Chicago right now. There are going to be a lot of kinks to work out in the offseason for the Windy City to end up remedying the bitter taste this series left for them.Wade was pensive and mostly positive when it comes to how everything came to a close for his team this season. He took to Twitter to share his thoughts with the word and it is clear that he has seen some things during the past 14-years in the league.

He said: “It never ends the way U want unless you’re holding that [trophy] over Ur head. Proud of my team 4 fight’n & thankful to have completed my 14th yr.”

Many will wonder what his plans for the offseason entail, but because of his performance late in this series he will probably stick around. Flash finished with two points on 1-for-10 shooting in his 19 minutes of play and was clearly not at his best.

The veteran already came back from an elbow injury to help the team compete, but this might have been in vain. He will have to decide whether he wants to compete for a championship now or if he wants to secure a near max deal.

He will have plenty of time to decide what to do now that the season has concluded. The entire franchise will now be waiting and holding their breath to find out what the organisation has planned for a crucial summer with the Bulls.
