Stoke manager Tony Pulis has dismissed reports linking goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen with Bayern Munich as "nonsense".

Last week stories in the Danish press suggested the 33-year-old was a target for the four-time European champions. However, Pulis is confident Sorensen will remain at the Britannia Stadium for a second season after the Potters survived their maiden top-flight campaign.

"Those reports are a load of nonsense as far as I'm concerned," he told The Sentinel. "We are playing in the greatest league in the world and you'd have to ask why Thomas would want to move out of it at this stage."

He added: "He's more than happy here as far as I'm aware. He had a great first season for us last year and I have to say how much I was impressed by his stature about the place.

"His experience and calibre was just what we needed as we stepped into the big time."
