Washington got off to a 16-0 start and led 38-24 after the first quarter, but Boston came roaring back, outscoring the away team 71-42 in the next two quarters. Isaiah Thomas (33/1/9) was sensational, going 11-for-23, including 5-for-11 from three. Jae Crowder (24/6/1), Al Horford (21/9/10) and Avery Bradley (18/5/4) all delivered solid performances in the opening game win for the Celtics. Bradley Beal (27/1/4) led the Wizards in scoring and John Wall (20/4/16) turned in a typical performance, but Markieff Morris (5/3/0) was limited to just 11 minutes due to a sprained ankle.

Jazz 104, Clippers 91; Utah wins series 4-3

Rudy Gobert (1/4/0) shockingly fouled out in just 13 minutes in Game 7, but Derrick Favors (17/11/3) picked up the slack off the bench, going 8-for-11 in 30 productive minutes. Gordon Hayward (26/8/3) led Utah in scoring in the victory. Chris Paul (13/4/9) went just 6-for-19 shooting, including 1-for-7 from three in a disappointing performance for the Clippers. DeAndre Jordan (24/17/1) was able to dominate due to Gobert’s foul trouble, but Los Angeles shot just 6-for-25 from beyond the arc and 15-for-26 from the charity stripe in front of their home fans en route to the loss.
