Mario Balotelli has become something of a cult hero in France this season. His goals and performances in general have helped Nice to battle it out with Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco for the Ligue 1 title.Following two disappointing seasons that garnered a meagre output of seven goals in just under 50 games for Liverpool and Milan, he's seemingly back to his best this term by hitting 16 goals in 26 appearances across all competitions. And furthermore, he appears to be playing with that same confidence that won him so many fans when he first burst onto the scene with Inter Milan as a teenager. In recent weeks Nice have fallen out of the title race, but it looks as though they have at least secured themselves passage into next season's Champions League as they remain 20 points ahead of Lyon in fourth with just three games remaining. But despite the likelihood of them winning the title all but over, that doesn't mean they don't have a say in where it'll end up.On Sunday night, Paris Saint Germain travelled to Nice with their own title hopes in the balance, but found themselves unable to rise to the challenge with the hosts running out 3-1 winners. But the goals weren't the main talking point from the match, though Balotelli did manage to take centre stage. It proved a bad tempered affair, with the Italian international clashing with PSG striker Edinson Cavani at the final whistle, but during the game after a period of showboating out wide he was bundled over by France international Blaise Matuidi.

However, that's not where it ended after a new video emerged showing what happened after the free kick was given.

Balotelli, clearly unfazed by being fouled marched off to take his place in the box in anticipation for the ball to be swung in his direction.

But before he made it into the box he was confronted by a number of PSG players who all had something to say about his unwanted show of skill and confidence.

The pushing and shoving continued as the free kick was taken with Matuidi once again making a nuisance of himself by grappling with the ex-Liverpool man.

PSG remain three points behind leaders Monaco, who have a game in hand over the side from the capital.

Monaco, though, have more immediate matters to take care of as they take on Juventus in their first leg of the Champions League semi-final this week.
