Conor McGregor and Team Mayweather continue to go at one another's throats.

Last year Conor McGregor teased at a possible retirement from mixed martial arts (MMA) competition after being removed from the UFC 200 main event. McGregor refused to attend a press conference to focus on training and his highly-anticipated rematch with Nate Diaz was subsequently scrapped.

During his brief hiatus, however, a dream superfight between McGregor and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather began to pick up wind.

Since then McGregor has avenged his sole UFC loss to Diaz and became the first dual-weight champion in the promotion's history. He won the lightweight title from Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 from Madison Square Garden in New York City.

'The Notorious One' is now expecting his first child sometime this month and has been out-of-competition since. To pass the time he and Mayweather have been hyping their potential matchup on social media, and now UFC President Dana White is in the midst of making a deal to make the fight official.

Recently Floyd Mayweather Sr. spoke to Fight Hype regarding his son's potential return from retirement against the heavy-handed Irishman. Mayweather Sr. said that McGregor looks 'bad' inside the boxing ring and believes he himself at 64-years-old could 'beat the sh*t out of Conor McGregor' (quotes via LowKickMMA):

“He don’t want that fight. Floyd’s gonna turn him upside down,” Mayweather Sr. said. “That be like you and Floyd in the ring! [Laughs]. He looks bad in the ring. That’s a done deal right there. They’ve already showed the best that he’s got. He ain’t nothing but talk! I told them people on the TV already, forget about Floyd. Let’s throw Floyd to the side. Here I am, I’m a 64-year-old man and I’ll beat your ass. I’ll beat the s**t out of McGregor! Anytime he wants it, let’s go.”

While Mayweather Sr. gives the UFC lightweight champ all credit due to him for everything he's done inside of the Octagon, it's a whole other ball game as it pertains to preparing to step into the boxing ring, and Mayweather just doesn't think McGregor is ready for it:

“I’m telling you right now, he can do all the stuff he want to do but this guy don’t know nothing about how to get your body right and the amount of time and everything you’ve got to do, he don’t know nothing about that.”
