The latest reports suggest we haven't seen the last of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Manchester United striker suffered cruciate ligament damage against Anderlecht, ending a fantastic season that has seen him score 27 goals in all competitions.

When the Swede arrived in England, questions were being asked about whether he could still make an impact on the Premier League at 35 years of age.

As always, though, Zlatan's doubters have been left eating their words.

The iconic forward was always going to bow out on his own terms, and his agent Mino Raiola has now said, quoted via the BBC, that the player "will make a full recovery".

While the former Barcelona, Inter Milan, and PSG star isn't going to be around forever, he should at least be able to offer a few more of the hilarious soundbites for which he's become known.

Speaking to football writer Graham Hunter, West Brom and Northern Ireland defender Jonny Evans has given a little insight into what it's like to play against Ibra - as you'd expect, it sounds absolutely terrifying, in more ways than one.

Evans recalls a hilarious incident

“I came up against Zlatan Ibrahimovic when we (Northern Ireland) played Sweden. He left one on me," Evans explained.

“I cleared the ball and he left his studs up – I thought I would try and make the most of it.

“He came over and was all like: ‘Get up, b****.’ I thought I’d better get up!”

Zlatan's successful surgery makes it likely that he will play again, but unfortunately for United fans, it looks as if his time with the club is up.

When all was going well, he stalled on a new contract, perhaps because he was waiting to see if the Red Devils would make it into next season's Champions League.

That has now backfired, and he is set to leave Old Trafford when his current deal expires in the summer.
