Tuesday's episode of Smackdown saw the battle lines get drawn within the Women's division as two different sides have emerged.

Ever since Charlotte joined the brand in the Superstar shake-up, there has been some hostility towards her from the already established Smackdown women.

New teams emerging

Tamina, Natalya and Carmella have seemingly banded together to teach the Queen that Smackdown will not be easily conquered.

Together, they cost Charlotte her match for the Smackdown Women's Championship last week and Tuesday night, they took it one step further.

They attacked Charlotte backstage and attempted to recruit the Irish Lass Kicker to their side of the issue.

Attacking Charlotte before she was due to team with Smackdown Women's Champion Naomi against Natalya and Carmella then lead to what at first appeared to be a handicap match.

The late arrival of Charlotte wasn't enough to avoid her team losing though as Carmella would pick up the pin-fall victory over Naomi.

It was after the match where factions formed though as Lynch would come to the ring and act like she would be joining with the so-called welcoming committee.

A classic case of playing possum though as Lynch would then attack the three women and prove her loyalty.

Forming a team with her old rival Charlotte and Naomi, Lynch would still suffer the consequences as the welcoming committee beat her down.

Now seemingly forming two sides of the same battle, Lynch, Charlotte and Naomi could be set to join forces over the coming weeks.

Charlotte and Lynch are more than familiar with each other from their days in NXT and seeing them team together will surely be something that will keep the fans interested.

WAR OF THE WOMEN

With the six women now seemingly set to do battle over the next few weeks, the Smackdown women's division could throw a few curve balls at the fans.

With Charlotte now seemingly portraying the role of a babyface, fans will get to see a new style to her character - one that has been gone for quite sometime.

The current story however could mean that the next Smackdown exclusive show Backlash could pass by without a Women's Championship match.
