Ten years ago, the rivalry between Liverpool and Chelsea was at its peak.
The two clubs faced each other a remarkable 10 times in the Champions League in five seasons - usually during the latter stages of the competition.
Quite simply, they just loved to hate each other.
While many of these clashes were tight and nervy affairs, their two-legged clash in the 2008/09 Champions League quarter-final proved to be anything but.
Chelsea eventually triumphed 7-5 on aggregate in what proved to be their last meeting in Europe’s elite competition to date.
But despite the entertaining match, there was still a moment of comedy from Chelsea legend Frank Lampard.
During the game at Anfield - which Chelsea eventually won 3-1 - Lampard trolled the Anfield faithful when taking a free-kick with the scores at 1-1.
The atmosphere inside the stadium was usually at fever pitch during these sort of ties but the Chelsea midfielder decided he would have a bit of fun with them.
He went over to take a free-kick on the touchline in front of the Liverpool supporters and threatened to move the ball forward a couple of yards - knowing the fuss the crowd would make.
And that’s exactly what happened as there was an uproar before Lampard told them to calm down and moved the ball back to its original position.
Take a look:
Lampard would later have a massive say in the tie. His corner was headed in by Branislav Ivanovic to give Chelsea a 2-1 lead before Didier Drogba made it 3-1 on the night.
In the second leg, Liverpool threatened an incredible comeback by going 2-0 up but, Lampard’s brace helped Chelsea ease into the semi-final after an incredible 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Unfortunately for Lampard and co. a last minute Andres Iniesta strike sent them out of the competition as Barcelona went on to win the competition.
