When Kevin Durant announced he'd be joining the Golden State Warriors last off-season, he became an instant villain. That'll happen when arguably the most talented basketball player on earth signs with a team that just put up the best record in basketball history. After spending the first nine years of his career in Oklahoma City with only one Finals appearance to show for it, Durant knew he had to part ways with Russell Westbrook and the Thunder if he wanted to get a ring anytime soon. It was a painful decision for Durant, who has deep roots in OKC and still spends time down there working on his foundation, but one that has so far paid off. It'll be Westbrook hoisting the MVP trophy this season, but Durant's Warriors have yet to lose a game in the playoffs and are the overwhelming favorites to win the NBA Finals. Winning will make anyone happy, but that's not the only reason Durant's choice to leave OKC was a great call. A recent video shows Durant enjoying a beautiful off-day in the Bay Area while jamming out to Bob Marley's "Don't Worry, Be Happy". I dare you not to smile while watching this.

From meeting baseball legend Willie McCovey at a Giants game to getting fitted for a "real player-like" green velvet robe on a San Francisco rooftop, Durant has come a long way since his days in OKC feuding with Westbrook and getting eliminated from the playoffs every season.

Durant's love affair with the Bay Area began the day he arrived, when he took to Reddit to do an AMA with Warriors fans and got some hot restaurant recommendations.

Since then, Durant has been spotted exploring the city by subway, moshing in the pit at a Kanye show, and browsing music at local record stores.

It's hard not to be happy for KD these days. That is, unless you're a Thunder fan.
