The title race in Spain is really heating up right now, and not a moment too soon. With just a handful of games to go both Barcelona and Real Madrid are neck and neck at the top of the table.

Barcelona tipped it back in their favour slightly by beating their arch-rivals last month, but Zinedine Zidane's men still have that game in hand to fall back on.

But what's made it so great is that neither side are willing to take their foot off the gas and are still looking to steamroll every side they come up against.

This weekend Villarreal were meant to provide a stern test for Luis Enrique's men as they visited the Nou Camp, but Barca simply weren't going to let up.

The hosts ran out 4-1 winners thanks to a brace from Lionel Messi and strikes from Neymar and Luis Suarez. Quite simply, it was an MSN masterclass.

Much has been made of Neymar's form this season. Earlier on in the campaign he highlighted exactly why he is being talked about as a player that could dominate the Ballon d'Or award after Lionel Messi becomes too old to maintain his current level of output.

However, following his outstanding performance in the second leg of Barca's Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain, that saw them overturn a 4-0 deficit to win 6-5 on aggregate, he appeared to lose his mojo slightly.

His couldn't seem to get on anyone's wavelength, and even his scoring ability suffered, but in recent weeks he's slowly been winning everyone back around.

But against Villarreal he stepped up and gave the kind of performance that was needed from him, and after grabbing his goal he made a mockery of Yellow Submarine defender Mario Gaspar.

With the ball going out of play, the Brazilian managed to keep it in and flick the ball over Gaspar's head to put back in the box and create a chance for Luis Suarez, who unfortunately couldn't get his shot on target.

Gaspar is no slouch either, the 26-year-old is a Spanish international and has made over 200 appearances for the club, but where he is a mere mortal, Neymar is on another planet.
